Jerónimos Monastery

Jerónimos Monastery, a masterpiece of Manueline architecture, is another UNESCO World Heritage site located in the Belém district of Lisbon. Founded in 1501 to commemorate Vasco da Gama's successful voyage to India, the monastery is renowned for its intricate stone carvings, grand cloisters, and the impressive Church of Santa Maria.
