The National Museum in Warsaw, one of the oldest and largest museums in Poland, offers a comprehensive survey of art ranging from ancient sculptures to modern paintings. The museum's extensive collection includes over 830,000 works of art, featuring prominent Polish and international artists. Noteworthy exhibitions include the Medieval Art Gallery, which displays religious paintings, rich textiles, and goldsmiths' work from across Europe, and the Faras Gallery, featuring early Christian Nubian art from a submerged cathedral in Sudan.
