Pitti Palace

The Pitti Palace, a vast Renaissance palace situated on the south side of the Arno River, was once the residence of the powerful Medici family. Built in the 15th century, it now houses several important museums, including the Palatine Gallery, the Royal Apartments, and the Gallery of Modern Art. The palace's opulent rooms are filled with works by Raphael, Titian, and Rubens, among others. The Boboli Gardens, located behind the palace, offer a stunning example of Italian garden design, with fountains, statues, and grottoes. The Pitti Palace and its surrounding gardens provide a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of the Medici and the artistic achievements of the Renaissance.
