Buckingham Palace

Buckingham Palace is the London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the United Kingdom. Located in Westminster, it has been a focal point for the British people at times of national rejoicing and mourning. The palace features 775 rooms, including 19 State Rooms, and is known for its lavish interior and extensive gardens. The Changing of the Guard ceremony, which takes place outside the palace, is a popular attraction. Visitors can tour the State Rooms during the summer months when the Queen is not in residence.
